Chiropodist / Podiatrist

A podiatrist (from Greek “podi” meaning foot and “iatros” meaning doctor) is literally a foot doctor that specialises in assessing, diagnosing and treating abnormalities and diseases of the lower limb.

Our chiropodist clinic currently operates in the evenings (between 17:30pm and 19:00pm) and they are registered and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). The chiropodist can provide you with professional advice about how to look after your feet, and treatment options include:

  • Toenails problems (such as ingrown nails)
  • Fungal infections
  • Bunions
  • Corns and calluses
  • Verrucas
  • Flat feet
  • Long-term management of chronic conditions (e.g. diabetes complications)

Special arrangements can be made for Care Homes, where multiple patients can be seen during an extended session.
